Larissa Tokmakova has studied painting in Faculty of Applied Arts, Moscow from 1987-1991. Larissa has done her residencies at Ateliers Fourwinds, France, FundaÁion Valparaiso, Spain and Kunstcentrum Sittard, The Netherlands. She has been in the faculty of various Institutions including Ateliers Fourwinds, France and Hebei University, China among others.

Larissa has exhibited in various Galleries and Museums in Europe, United States, and South America including Delaware Art Museum, Museum of the Southwest, University of Salisbury, Central Missouri State University and Columbia University Treasure Room Gallery among others.
