Lawrence Abrahamsen has developed an original, intimate and personal style of expression through bold colors, fluid texture and divine symbolism. His experimentation with color commingles symbolically with the understanding of three intertwined universal modes of nature: Passion,Goodness and Regeneration. According to Mr. Abrahamsen, "Our world is full of layers and veils offering a never ending experience of revealing and concealing experiences. Gravity and liquids are my brushes allowing nature to play a part in these creations. If a work is too planned it feels contrived.and if too spontaneous it loses the form necessary to unlock the viewers'ability to enter the realm of their imagination."
Mr. Abrahamsen has attended Yale University and The Art Institute of Chicago. He has exhibited extensively throughout United States and Canada along with other countries as Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, UK and Syria. His paintings are held in several prestigious public and corporate collections such as City Hall in SanFrancisco,DuPont,The Marathon Group, Sony World Bank and others.
